Hajime Fujita

Hajime Fujita – choreograf i tancerz. Pochodzi z Jokohamy w Japonii. Uzyskał dyplom wydziału Peforming Arts na Kyoto University of Arts and Design. W 2006 r. uzyskał stypendium danceWEB prowadzone przez Mathilde Monnier i Loica Touze pozwalające wziąć udział w ImpulsTanz Festival w Wiedniu oraz stypendium Fundacji Azjatycko-Europejskiej Pointe to Point pod kierownictwem Simona Dove w Warszawie. W 2008 r. był nominowany do programu Rolex Mentor and Protege Arts Initiative. Jego projekty mają różny charakter, od prac choreograficznych po eksperymentalne instalacje. W latach 2007- 2008 brał udział w międzynarodowym projekcie SKITe/Sweet and Tender z Jean-Marc Adolphem. W roku 2007 i 2008 swój projekt ‘f/f’, oparty na improwizowanym tańcu, pokazywał we Francji, Hiszpanii i Portugalii. Jego głównym dążeniem jest współtworzenie chwili z publicznością po to by przemyśleć komunikację międzyludzką. Zainspirowany kilkoma myślami zaczerpniętymi z fenomenologii, uważa tę komunikację za sposób na rozwiązanie współczesnych problemów takich jak m. in. rasizm, dyskryminacja, bieda, konflikty religijne.

Hajime Fujita - choreographer and dancer. He comes from Yokohama, Japan. He graduated in Peforming Arts from the Kyoto University of Arts and Design. He received the danceWEB scholarship 2006 led by Mathilde Monnier and Loic Touze to participate in the ImpulsTanz Festival in Vienna, and the Pointe to Point of the Asian European Foundation scholarship led by Simon Dove in Warsaw. In 2008 he was nominated for the Rolex Mentor and Protege Arts Initiative program. His pieces have diverse intentions in each project, from choreographic repertories to experimental installation projects. In 2007 and 2008 he took part in the international project SKITe/Sweet and Tender with Jean-Marc Adolphe. In 2007 and 2008 his representative improvisation dance project called ‘f/f’ was performed in France, Spain and Portugal. His main focus is sharing the moments with spectators/viewers to re-think our communication. Inspired by several thoughts of the Phenomenology, he finds importance of our communication as a key to solve our current problems, such as racism, discrimination, poverty, religious conflicts among others.

But it is easy to get lost in chasing for money. W trakcie podróży Hajime Fujita po Europie przyszło mu spędzić jedną noc na londyńskiej ulicy. Tam spotkał bezdomnego o imieniu Tommy. "dontdiemyfriendtommy" jest dedykowane właśnie jemu, obywatelowi naszego społeczeństwa.

Performance - dontdiemyfriendtommy Undoubtedly poverty is a great problem in our society. As long as we live in the society affected by capitalism, we need money to survive. But it is easy to get lost in chasing for money. While Hajime Fujita was traveling around Europe, one night he had to sleep on the street in London. There he met homeless Tommy. "dontdiemyfriendtommy" is dedicated to him, a citizen of our society.
