Mandala Performance Festival

Mandala Performance Festival is an annual international festival of contemporary dance, performance art, taking place in Wrocław since 2005 on the initiative of Towarzystwo Kultury Czynnej (Active Culture Society) and Galeria Miejska (The City Gallery) in Wrocław. Eighty artists from eleven countries: Great Britain, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, France, Belarus, the USA, Portugal, Sweden and Canada, have taken part in five editions of the Festival.

The idea of the Festival is to introduce trends present in contemporary dance, performance art, to extend the space of artistic search, to promote a formula of performing events which make a direct contact with the audience easy and build up a forum for various acts of creation applying the techniques based on movement, space and sound.

In 2010 the festival is locate in Wroclaw. Festival will in the following venues: Impart Art Center. This institution is independent organiser of the project.

The impact of performances generally is to bring new experience and to set free imagination and energy by looking at and participating in the performances.
Performance breaks down the barriers – between conventiomel art forms, between political systems, between artists and their audience – and between human beings. It is our intention to present the achievements and popularize the knowledge of contemporary trends in the art of dance, performance art.

This unique event presents completely new dance quality, openens up to experiments. In whole project will participate the artists from: Poland, Norway, Slovenia and Switzerland.

The Impart Art Center is involved in the production of mass events such as two banner festivals: Jazz on the Odra and Wroclaw Non Stop. Other successes of the center include the city's great Millennium Celebrations, the Actor's Song Fesival and special performances and events such as Mysterium Iniquitatis or Requiem Pro Pace. The Impart Art Center includes the Theater of the Song. In adition to all its artistic activities, the art center also makes available halls and provides technical services necessary to make an event a success.

Dance vibrations is annual project, taking place in Wroclaw since 2009 on the initiative of Impart Art Center.
